Holding its rank among the top twenty iPhone apps of all time, according to Comscore’s ratings, the Virtual Zippo Lighter allows users to experience the look and feel of the iconic brand’s popular lighters right on their Apple devices.
For this version of the Zippo lighter, simply flicking the device will open up the lighter’s top and turning the flint wheel with the touch screen will light her up. The amazing app’s literally “windproof” flame even sways back and forth to gentle movements of the device, perfect forthose “Zippo Encore Moments.” Just hold up your iPhone or iPod touch and sway along to your favorite band’s rockin’ power ballad.
Included in the Virtual Zippo Lighter application is a wide selection of authentic Zippo designs to allow each user’s virtual lighter to be unique to them, as well as a flame able to sense and react to the movements of the device. The upgrade will be part of the application’s one-year anniversary of the launch of theVirtual Zippo Lighter and will include, among other features, an expanded selection of skins, designs, and images, giving the app a huge variety of downloadable content to give each user the ability to create their own unique virtual lighter. The upgrade will only be optional, however, and the free version will still be available for any Zippo fan to download.
